Dear Neighbor,

Hi, I'm Paul Giessner, and I'm running to be your next Livingston County Commissioner for District 5 (City of Howell and Marion Township) to bring a focus on problem-solving and community engagement to the county commission.

I was raised in a small town in southwest Michigan and learned from a young age that between the power of hard work and listening, we can build strong and resilient communities. In my job as an electrical engineer, I work every day to solve challenging problems and bring different stakeholders together. I believe my unique background sets me up well to handle the responsibilities of overseeing the county.

I believe that local government should be focused on the everyday issues that affect Livingston County families, not partisan issues. I believe my ability to solve complex problems combined with my commitment to community engagement will help me find compassionate and effective solutions for our community.

As a county commissioner, I will bring active listening, openness, and integrity to the table when making decisions. I will work relentlessly to consider all perspectives to inform my decisions to best benefit the residents of Livingston County.

I believe in community-driven change and listening-first leadership.

We want to hear from YOU!
